The Louvre

Do we really need to say anything more? Even if you aren’t that huge of a fan of art and if you don’t really care about it as much, the Louvre is still very much worth the visit. This is arguably the greatest museum in the world, containing many legendary works of art including the Mona Lisa. This museum is truly worth a trip on its own – just make sure you visit during off peak hours or seasons.

Stained Glass – Wherever You Look

Stained glass panes are beautiful works of art that many can appreciate and admire. If you’re a fan of stained glass, you’ll love the ones you’ll find in Paris, like inside Sainte Chapelle, on Ile de la Cite, and more. For fans of shopping, Paris is a haven – need we say more?

Other Reasons

Of course, there are a ton of other reasons to visit Paris. It’s teeming with history and culture. The city has the catacombs underneath, as well as some of the most interesting cemeteries in the world. Pastry here is amazing, and so is the food. We could go on forever, but we really have to talk about some of the best restaurants in Paris with a view. After all, you might as well dine in style!

The Best Restaurants in Paris with a View

Before we begin, we want to say that the restaurants we have included on this list are not listed in any particular order, since quite honestly we can’t even begin to decide which one should be first! So if you’re ready to learn about some of the best restaurants in Paris with a view, let’s get right to it!

La Tour d’Argent

Best Restaurants in Paris with a View

If you want a restaurant infused with a bit of history, the La Tour d’Argent is a fantastic option. This restaurant is historic, for sure. It offers patrons amazing food, all freshly produced. The French cuisine here is served in one of Paris’ most dramatic and grand halls. Here, they have some special edition and even heritage wines for you to sip from – straight from their cellar. You can enjoy your glass of wine alongside a famous dish, perhaps one of their roast duck entrees.

La Tour d’Argent is absolutely one of the best restaurants you could ever go to in Paris. However, do know that it sits firmly towards the more expensive end of the spectrum. But hey, you might just be able to justify the price of a meal there, considering this restaurant offers a spectacular view. From here, you’ll see the Notre Dame Cathedral, as well as the Seine. Truthfully, this restaurant would be an amazing place to celebrate an occasion – whatever it may be.

Le Jules Verne

Okay, okay, we really couldn’t make a list of the best restaurants in Paris with a view without mentioning Le Jules Verne. It may seem almost like cheating, considering this restaurant actually sits IN the Eiffel Tower. However, this Restaurant offers an amazing menu, produced with only the finest French ingredients – and it’s served alongside a tremendous view. The prices will be higher – you should indeed come to expect this – but hey, at least you get a fantastic place to sit and take in all the sights of the bustling city of Paris. Visit for a dinner meal and enjoy the city twinkling around you like stars. Could anything be more romantic?

6 New York

Wait, are we lost? No – 6 New York is indeed a restaurant in Paris. In this restaurant, you can get a fantastic meal without any fear, worry, or guilt. Their pantry is filled with organic meat as well as fish that was sustainably caught, as part of an effort to lessen their environmental footprint. Talented chefs turn these ingredients into a lovely meal for you, which you can enjoy as you gaze upon the Eiffel Tower. Yes, it’s visible from 6 New York – and it’s certainly a beautiful place to celebrate an occasion. We do feel obligated to say that 6 New York won’t be cheap, so prepare your wallets. Trust us when we say, however, that this establishment is certainly worth the visit.

If you want to dine in an open terrace, surrounded by tranquility and a view of the city, Georges is the place to do it. This restaurant has an open terrace best enjoyed during the sunset, so you can gaze out at the crown jewel of Paris, the Eiffel Tower. Georges sits atop a museum – France’s National Museum of Modern Art.

You can make a day out of your visit here by coming in the early to mid-afternoon and spending a bit of time checking out all the art on display. Then, you can make your way up to Georges. Enjoy the wondrous vista of the city and the Eiffel Tower as you enjoy a meal while the sun sets. Or, just enjoy a cup of coffee, since Georges is a restaurant/café that happens to be a rather popular haunt of many.

Do expect bigger crowds during the weekends and during sunsets, however. Lunch is also another popular and busy time. You can save both time and money by coming during afternoon tea/coffee, plus you can avoid the crowds this way as well.

Le Ciel de Paris

If modern is more of your thing, you’ll enjoy the plush modernity of Le Ciel de Paris. This establishment is certainly one of the best restaurants in Paris with a view. Here, you can dine and enjoy your meal as you gaze at the city and of course, the Eiffel Tower. Due to the view being part of the charm, it’s become somewhat of a commodity. So, you should know that in Le Ciel de Paris, prices may vary depending on where it is that you’ve sat.

Meals are pricey here, but the experience may be worth it. After all, what’s better than award-winning entrees served alongside an exceptionally beautiful view? Paris is a city that you’ll likely only visit on rare occasion, so you might as well have as much fun as you can while you can.

Victoria 1836

We’ve listed a bunch of restaurants overlooking Paris and the Eiffel Tower. Well, now we want to talk about the Victoria 1836, a restaurant that stands out from the bunch. This restaurant is a fantastic place to enjoy a view of the Arc de Triomphe, considering it’s located right next to it. Here you can enjoy a fantastic, mouth-watering entrée of crab ravioli – prepared freshly every single time. If you’re planning a visit here, make sure that you come at an off-peak time. Weekends are always busy here. Also know that Victoria 1836 does have prices a bit higher than average. But for dining right next to the Arc de Triomphe, the prices are absolutely unbeatable.

Les Ombres

Dining on a rooftop in Paris, beautiful Paris? Sign us right up. Fact is, rooftop restaurants are not at all uncommon in this city – but that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the beauty of Les Ombres. This restaurant’s rooftop actually sits directly in front of Paris’ Eiffel Tower – its crown jewel. When you dine here you’ll probably have a hard time figuring out what you like more, the glorious food that you are eating, or the view you’re watching at the same time.

A three-course lunch or dinner starts at about 68 euros, not too bad, but not exactly cheap either. You can give some of their signature dishes a try – how does cream of celery sound? What about roasted guinea fowl? They also have something called trumpets of death, which sounds like quite an interesting dish to try if you ask us.

Another one of the best restaurants in Paris with a view is Kong. No, not King Kong – though it certainly does make the name quite catchy, doesn’t it? Kong is a restaurant that is simply beautiful with its curved glass windows. It’s a fantastic place to eat especially in winter, because you can watch the snow as it falls gently outside. It would most certainly be magical, that’s for sure.

Le Perchoir

One more place that we can recommend is Le Perchoir. This restaurant is best if you’re looking for a lighter bite. The cool yet friendly atmosphere here will allow you to enjoy Paris’ sunset. This restaurant has a ton of charm, and also has one of the best of the rooftop bars in Paris. Here you’ll find some of the best cocktails, along with fantastic food.

You’ll fall in love with the city and all of the views it has to offer, and you’ll get an amazing experience that you’ll remember for the rest of your life.
